Attendees will learn: - how to manage the initial contacts with attorneys and litigants - key elements of a Statement of Understanding between the evaluator and the litigants - ways to minimize the animosity that litigants often experience toward evaluators - ethical practices that, if followed, are likely to reduce the risk of complaints against evaluators - criteria to employ in selecting assessment instruments - methods for maximizing the usefulness of collateral source information - ways to provide information to fee-payers concerning what to anticipate from testifying evaluators.
